Replacement HEPA-carbon filter for pureAir 501 FILTER LIFE: Filter life depends upon the level of pollutants in the space being cleaned. For proper operation, the unit should be cleaned at least once per month. Filters should be replaced once a year to ensure the highest quality of purification. COMPATIBILITY: *Please Note: These filters are only for the pureAir-501 unit and will not fit the pureAir-500. We recommend checking the serial number of the pureAir unit you have prior to purchasing these HEPA puck filters. The serial number will help identify which version unit (500 or 501) you have. How to replace the 501 filter: Turn the unit OFF and remove the Power Plug. Press the Tab to release and remove the Filter Cover. Carefully remove the Expired Filter from the unit. Blow the interior of your unit out with compressed air. Insert your Replacement Filter with the circular mesh side facing out. Replace the Filter Cover. Plug your unit in and return to normal operation. WARNING: No part of the unit should come into contact with water during cleaning.
